They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of the DEAD box protein family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the DEAD box protein family and interacts with several spliceosomal proteins. In addition, the encoded protein may recognize the bacterial second messengers cyclic di-GMP and cyclic di-AMP, resulting in the induction of genes involved in the innate immune response. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase. Is required during post-transcriptional gene expression. May be involved in pre-mRNA splicing. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:25920683}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |DEAD| |Helicase C| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |RNA helicase activity| |positive regulation of type I interferon production| |catalytic step 2 spliceosome| |spliceosomal complex| |regulation of type I interferon production| |RNA splicing, via transesterification reactions with bulged adenosine as nucleophile| |mRNA splicing, via spliceosome| |RNA splicing, via transesterification reactions| |RNA splicing| |positive regulation of cytokine production| |mRNA processing| |cell population proliferation| |mRNA metabolic process| |regulation of cytokine production| |RNA processing| |apoptotic process| |programmed cell death| |cell death| |RNA binding| |ATP binding| |RNA metabolic process| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |membrane| |gene expression| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Brefeldin A 0.02μM R00 exp8|-1.86| |SB743921 0.001μM R05 exp244|-1.76| |2-Methoxyestradiol 0.2μM R01 exp40|1.7| |Senexin-A 25μM R07 exp400|1.7| |UM131593 0.1μM R01 exp58|1.78| |Dihydrosphingosine 8μM R08 exp476|1.92| |proTAME 5μM R04 exp187|2.05| |Calcipotriol 5μM R08 exp464|2.37| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |PSMB4|0.437| |GOLGA8O|0.431| |CACTIN|0.427| |PNO1|0.411| |NPIPB5|0.405| |TICRR|0.405| |RPS2|0.401| |NUP160|0.401| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 735/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|1/1| |909776.0|1/1| |bile duct|28/28| |blood|28/28| |bone|26/26| |breast|33/33| |central nervous system|56/56| |cervix|4/4| |colorectal|17/17| |esophagus|13/13| |fibroblast|1/1| |gastric|16/16| |kidney|21/21| |liver|20/20| |lung|75/75| |lymphocyte|16/16| |ovary|26/26| |pancreas|24/24| |peripheral nervous system|15/16| |plasma cell|15/15| |prostate|1/1| |skin|24/24| |soft tissue|9/9| |thyroid|2/2| |upper aerodigestive|22/22| |urinary tract|28/29| |uterus|5/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 430 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 7.01 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='DDX41 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 7.01'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
