This membrane-associated, cytoplasmic protein functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor and is involved in regulation of adherens junctions between cells. Mutations in this gene have been associated with ovarian, prostate, glioma, and colorectal cancers. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described, but only one has been fully characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Involved in regulation of adherens junction between cells. Plays a role in cell migration. Functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), which activates Rap1 small GTPase by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:12628187, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20679435}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Ded cyto| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |negative regulation of vascular smooth muscle contraction| |stereocilium bundle| |negative regulation of vasoconstriction| |regulation of vascular smooth muscle contraction| |negative regulation of smooth muscle contraction| |positive regulation of vascular associated smooth muscle cell migration| |regulation of vascular associated smooth muscle cell migration| |negative regulation of muscle contraction| |stereocilium| |negative regulation of blood circulation| |positive regulation of smooth muscle cell migration| |Rac GTPase binding| |receptor tyrosine kinase binding| |regulation of vasoconstriction| |positive regulation of blood vessel diameter| |regulation of smooth muscle cell migration| |regulation of smooth muscle contraction| |PDZ domain binding| |guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity| |SH3 domain binding| |regulation of blood vessel diameter| |regulation of tube diameter| |regulation of tube size| |regulation of muscle contraction| |vascular process in circulatory system| |cell chemotaxis| |regulation of muscle system process| |GTPase activator activity| |regulation of blood circulation| |small GTPase mediated signal transduction| |blood circulation| |circulatory system process| |positive regulation of GTPase activity| |regulation of GTPase activity| |positive regulation of cell migration| |regulation of anatomical structure size| |positive regulation of cell motility| |positive regulation of cellular component movement| |chemotaxis| |positive regulation of locomotion| |taxis| |regulation of system process| |positive regulation of hydrolase activity| |regulation of cell migration| |nucleolus| |regulation of cell motility| |cell migration| |regulation of locomotion| |Golgi apparatus| |regulation of cellular component movement| |localization of cell| |cell motility| |negative regulation of multicellular organismal process| |regulation of hydrolase activity| |locomotion| |positive regulation of catalytic activity| |movement of cell or subcellular component| |intracellular signal transduction| |positive regulation of molecular function| |system process| |membrane| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |CVT-10216 0.1μM R06 exp278|-1.8| |Phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate 0.57μM R08 exp514|-1.76| |Deguelin 0.15μM R05 exp209|-1.72| |Pterostilbene 16μM R02 exp78|2.06| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |RRM1|0.494| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 14290 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 3.68 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='DOCK4 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 3.68'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
