Apyrases are enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of nucleotide diphosphates and triphosphates in a calcium or magnesium-dependent manner. The encoded protein is an endo-apyrase and may play a role in salvaging nucleotides from lysosomes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene, and these isoforms may differ in divalent cation dependence and substrate specificity. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Hydrolyzes preferentially nucleoside 5'-diphosphates, nucleoside 5'-triphosphates are hydrolyzed only to a minor extent. The order of activity with different substrates is UDP >> GDP = CDP = TDP, AMP, ADP, ATP and UMP are not substrates. Preferred substrates for isoform 2 are CTP, UDP, CDP, GTP and GDP, while isoform 1 utilizes UTP and TTP. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |GDA1 CD39| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |pyrimidine ribonucleotide catabolic process| |UDP catabolic process| |UDP metabolic process| |pyrimidine ribonucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |pyrimidine nucleoside diphosphate catabolic process| |pyrimidine ribonucleoside diphosphate catabolic process| |integral component of autophagosome membrane| |pyrimidine nucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |uridine-diphosphatase activity| |ribonucleoside diphosphate catabolic process| |nucleoside diphosphate catabolic process| |pyrimidine nucleotide catabolic process| |pyrimidine ribonucleotide metabolic process| |ribonucleotide catabolic process| |pyrimidine-containing compound catabolic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule catabolic process| |pyrimidine nucleotide metabolic process| |integral component of Golgi membrane| |ribonucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |nucleotide catabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate catabolic process| |nucleoside diphosphate metabolic process| |pyrimidine-containing compound metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule biosynthetic process| |organophosphate catabolic process| |carbohydrate derivative catabolic process| |cytoplasmic vesicle| |ribonucleotide metabolic process| |ribose phosphate metabolic process| |nucleobase-containing compound catabolic process| |heterocycle catabolic process| |cellular nitrogen compound catabolic process| |small molecule catabolic process| |aromatic compound catabolic process| |nucleotide metabolic process| |nucleoside phosphate metabolic process| |organic cyclic compound catabolic process| |nucleobase-containing small molecule metabolic process| |small molecule biosynthetic process| |Golgi membrane| |organophosphate metabolic process| |carbohydrate derivative metabolic process| |organonitrogen compound catabolic process| |nucleobase-containing compound biosynthetic process| |heterocycle biosynthetic process| |aromatic compound biosynthetic process| |organic cyclic compound biosynthetic process| |cellular nitrogen compound biosynthetic process| |small molecule metabolic process| |organic substance catabolic process| |cellular catabolic process| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Fluvastatin 2.2μM R06 exp282|-3.77| |Bafilomycin-A1 0.009μM R08 exp454|-3.26| |Cerivastatin 0.15μM R05 exp226|-2.96| |CoCl2 18μM R07 exp346|-2.08| |Arsenate 40μM R06 exp264|-1.83| |ETC-159 50μM R08 exp480|-1.81| |CFI-400945 25μM R08 exp469|-1.7| |Pomalidomide 20μM R07 exp391|1.75| |A-395N 10μM R05 exp219|1.89| |Lead acetate 2000μM R08 exp498 no dilution day6|2.64| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |SLC35E1|0.469| |SLC39A9|0.459| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 16272 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 6.79 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='ENTPD4 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 6.79'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
