The previously defined group FANCH is the same as FANCA. Fanconi anemia is a genetically heterogeneous recessive disorder characterized by cytogenetic instability, hypersensitivity to DNA crosslinking agents, increased chromosomal breakage, and defective DNA repair. The members of the Fanconi anemia complementation group do not share sequence similarity; they are related by their assembly into a common nuclear protein complex. This gene encodes the protein for complementation group C. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: DNA repair protein that may operate in a postreplication repair or a cell cycle checkpoint function. May be implicated in interstrand DNA cross-link repair and in the maintenance of normal chromosome stability. Upon IFNG induction, may facilitate STAT1 activation by recruiting STAT1 to IFNGR1. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:11520787}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Fanconi C| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |removal of superoxide radicals| |Fanconi anaemia nuclear complex| |cellular response to oxygen radical| |cellular response to superoxide| |response to superoxide| |response to oxygen radical| |neuronal stem cell population maintenance| |brain morphogenesis| |superoxide metabolic process| |interstrand cross-link repair| |cellular oxidant detoxification| |cellular detoxification| |myeloid cell homeostasis| |nucleotide-excision repair| |reactive oxygen species metabolic process| |detoxification| |cellular response to reactive oxygen species| |stem cell population maintenance| |maintenance of cell number| |response to reactive oxygen species| |homeostasis of number of cells| |cellular response to toxic substance| |cellular response to oxidative stress| |germ cell development| |cellular process involved in reproduction in multicellular organism| |response to oxidative stress| |response to toxic substance| |DNA repair| |response to inorganic substance| |developmental process involved in reproduction| |gamete generation| |brain development| |DNA metabolic process| |cellular response to DNA damage stimulus| |head development| |multicellular organismal reproductive process| |sexual reproduction| |multicellular organism reproduction| |animal organ morphogenesis| |central nervous system development| |multi-organism reproductive process| |cellular response to oxygen-containing compound| |reproductive process| |reproduction| |response to oxygen-containing compound| |protein-containing complex assembly| |homeostatic process| |cell development| |cellular response to stress| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Cisplatin 0.35μM R06 exp273|-3.26| |Diepoxybutane 3μM R07 exp354|-2.47| |Ethanol 0.01 R05 exp234|-2.32| |Isonicotinamide 500μM R03 exp129|-2.19| |Mdivi-1 15μM R05 exp217|-2.11| |Alpha-Amanitin 0.5μM R00 exp5|-2.03| |BI-D1870 2μM R04 exp162|-1.98| |Nifuroxazide 1μM R01 exp51|-1.96| |Tunicamycin 0.04 to 0.075μM on day4 R07 exp419|-1.96| |Parthenolide 2.5μM R05 exp238|-1.92| |Salubrinal 20μM R07 exp399|-1.92| |PF-06409577 20μM R07 exp389|-1.87| |A-395N 10μM R05 exp219|-1.78| |Dexamethasone 0.006 to 0.015μM on day4 R07 exp352|-1.78| |MSC2530818 10μM R07 exp379|-1.72| |Daidzin 10μM R06 exp280|-1.71| |Amiloride 100μM R08 exp447|2.27| |Nutlin-3A 1.6μM R06 exp294|2.3| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |FANCE|0.519| |C17orf70|0.511| |FANCB|0.451| |FANCA|0.45| |MSTO1|0.409| |DHRSX|0.404| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 2164 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 5.26 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='FANCC Expression in NALM6 Cells: 5.26'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
