Natriutetic peptides are small peptides which regulate blood volume and pressure, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac function as well as some metabolic and growth processes. The product of this gene encodes a natriuretic peptide receptor responsible for clearing circulating and extracellular natriuretic peptides through endocytosis of the receptor. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Receptor for the natriuretic peptide hormones, binding with similar affinities atrial natriuretic peptide NPPA/ANP, brain natriuretic peptide NPPB/BNP, and C-type natriuretic peptide NPPC/CNP. May function as a clearance receptor for NPPA, NPPB and NPPC, regulating their local concentrations and effects. May regulate diuresis, blood pressure and skeletal development. Does not have guanylate cyclase activity. {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P70180}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |ANF receptor| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |natriuretic peptide receptor activity| |osteoclast proliferation| |pancreatic juice secretion| |hormone binding| |chloride ion binding| |positive regulation of urine volume| |negative regulation of adenylate cyclase activity| |negative regulation of cyclase activity| |secretion by tissue| |positive regulation of nitric-oxide synthase activity| |regulation of urine volume| |negative regulation of lyase activity| |regulation of osteoblast proliferation| |positive regulation of monooxygenase activity| |regulation of adenylate cyclase activity| |G protein-coupled peptide receptor activity| |peptide hormone binding| |regulation of cyclase activity| |regulation of nitric-oxide synthase activity| |regulation of lyase activity| |negative regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation| |negative regulation of cold-induced thermogenesis| |peptide binding| |positive regulation of oxidoreductase activity| |regulation of monooxygenase activity| |phosphatidylinositol-mediated signaling| |digestive system process| |body fluid secretion| |inositol lipid-mediated signaling| |adenylate cyclase-inhibiting G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway| |phospholipase C-activating G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway| |regulation of oxidoreductase activity| |leukocyte proliferation| |renal system process| |digestion| |regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation| |regulation of cold-induced thermogenesis| |regulation of blood pressure| |adenylate cyclase-modulating G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway| |G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway, coupled to cyclic nucleotide second messenger| |blood circulation| |circulatory system process| |skeletal system development| |regulation of body fluid levels| |cell population proliferation| |protein-containing complex| |negative regulation of cell population proliferation| |negative regulation of catalytic activity| |protein homodimerization activity| |secretion| |negative regulation of molecular function| |negative regulation of multicellular organismal process| |G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway| |integral component of plasma membrane| |positive regulation of catalytic activity| |regulation of cell population proliferation| |intracellular signal transduction| |positive regulation of molecular function| |system process| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='default' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> No hits were found. </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 10791 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: -1.72 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='NPR3 Expression in NALM6 Cells: -1.72'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
