PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP contains an N-terminal noncatalytic domain similar to that of band 4.1 superfamily cytoskeleton-associated proteins, which suggested the membrane or cytoskeleton localization of this protein. It appears to regulate lymphatic development in mammals, and a loss of function mutation has been found in a kindred with a lymphedema-choanal atresia. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Protein tyrosine phosphatase which may play a role in the regulation of lymphangiogenesis, cell-cell adhesion, cell- matrix adhesion, cell migration, cell growth and also regulates TGF-beta gene expression, thereby modulating epithelial- mesenchymal transition. Mediates beta-catenin dephosphorylation at adhesion junctions. Acts as a negative regulator of the oncogenic property of YAP, a downstream target of the hippo pathway, in a cell density-dependent manner. May function as a tumor suppressor. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10934049, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12808048, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17893246, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20826270, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22233626, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22525271, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22948661}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |FERM N| |Y phosphatase| |FERM M| |DSPc| |FERM C| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |lymphangiogenesis| |lymph vessel morphogenesis| |lymph vessel development| |regulation of protein export from nucleus| |receptor tyrosine kinase binding| |transcription coregulator activity| |protein tyrosine phosphatase activity| |peptidyl-tyrosine dephosphorylation| |regulation of nucleocytoplasmic transport| |protein dephosphorylation| |regulation of intracellular protein transport| |dephosphorylation| |regulation of intracellular transport| |cytoskeleton| |vasculature development| |cardiovascular system development| |regulation of cellular protein localization| |negative regulation of cell population proliferation| |regulation of protein transport| |regulation of peptide transport| |regulation of establishment of protein localization| |circulatory system development| |anatomical structure formation involved in morphogenesis| |regulation of cellular localization| |cellular response to cytokine stimulus| |regulation of protein localization| |response to cytokine| |regulation of cell population proliferation| |regulation of transport| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp512|Olaparib 4μM R08 exp512]]|1.71| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 4165 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 4.14 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='PTPN14 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 4.14'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
