Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post- translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling. May be involved in stable X chromosome inactivation. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:15621527}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Macro| |Histone| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |negative regulation of transcription of nucleolar large rRNA by RNA polymerase I| |negative regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase I| |Barr body| |establishment of protein localization to chromatin| |regulation of transcription of nucleolar large rRNA by RNA polymerase I| |establishment of protein localization to chromosome| |positive regulation of keratinocyte differentiation| |dosage compensation| |protein localization to chromatin| |positive regulation of epidermal cell differentiation| |regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase I| |positive regulation of epidermis development| |regulation of keratinocyte differentiation| |positive regulation of epithelial cell differentiation| |regulation of epidermal cell differentiation| |protein localization to chromosome| |nucleosome| |chromatin DNA binding| |negative regulation of gene expression, epigenetic| |regulation of epidermis development| |nuclear chromosome, telomeric region| |nucleosome assembly| |chromatin assembly| |regulation of epithelial cell differentiation| |chromatin assembly or disassembly| |nucleosome organization| |DNA packaging| |protein-DNA complex assembly| |transcription regulatory region DNA binding| |regulation of gene expression, epigenetic| |nuclear chromatin| |protein-DNA complex subunit organization| |DNA conformation change| |RNA polymerase II regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding| |establishment of protein localization to organelle| |protein heterodimerization activity| |chromatin organization| |protein localization to organelle| |brain development| |head development| |cellular protein-containing complex assembly| |negative regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II| |positive regulation of cell differentiation| |central nervous system development| |chromosome organization| |negative regulation of transcription, DNA-templated| |negative regulation of nucleic acid-templated transcription| |negative regulation of RNA biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of RNA metabolic process| |positive regulation of developmental process| |negative regulation of cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of nucleobase-containing compound metabolic process| |DNA binding| |negative regulation of macromolecule biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of cellular biosynthetic process| |negative regulation of biosynthetic process| |protein-containing complex assembly| |cellular protein localization| |cellular macromolecule localization| |establishment of protein localization| |negative regulation of gene expression| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |regulation of cell differentiation| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Ribavirin 10 to 15μM on day4 R04 exp160|1.72| |GSK591 2.6μM R03 exp128|1.83| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> ^Gene^Correlation^ |HGC6.3|0.563| </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 1/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|1/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 7356 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: -4.27 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='H2AFY2 Expression in NALM6 Cells: -4.27'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
