May exert its function by regulating the levels of PtdIns5P, which functions in the cytosol by increasing AKT activity and in the nucleus signals through ING2. May regulate the pool of cytosolic PtdIns5P in response to the activation of tyrosine phosphorylation. May negatively regulate insulin- stimulated glucose uptake by lowering the levels of PtdIns5P. May be involved in thrombopoiesis, and the terminal maturation of megakaryocytes and regulation of their size. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:18364242}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |PIP5K| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |1-phosphatidylinositol-5-phosphate 4-kinase activity| |1-phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 5-kinase activity| |positive regulation of autophagosome assembly| |positive regulation of vacuole organization| |megakaryocyte development| |megakaryocyte differentiation| |bone cell development| |regulation of autophagosome assembly| |regulation of vacuole organization| |phosphatidylinositol phosphorylation| |myeloid cell development| |lipid phosphorylation| |positive regulation of macroautophagy| |autophagosome| |positive regulation of organelle assembly| |phosphatidylinositol biosynthetic process| |regulation of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase signaling| |positive regulation of autophagy| |phosphatidylinositol metabolic process| |regulation of macroautophagy| |bone development| |lipid modification| |glycerophospholipid biosynthetic process| |myeloid cell differentiation| |regulation of organelle assembly| |glycerolipid biosynthetic process| |phospholipid biosynthetic process| |glycerophospholipid metabolic process| |regulation of autophagy| |positive regulation of cellular catabolic process| |phospholipid metabolic process| |glycerolipid metabolic process| |positive regulation of catabolic process| |skeletal system development| |positive regulation of cellular component biogenesis| |organophosphate biosynthetic process| |hemopoiesis| |lipid biosynthetic process| |hematopoietic or lymphoid organ development| |positive regulation of organelle organization| |immune system development| |regulation of cellular catabolic process| |organophosphate metabolic process| |cellular lipid metabolic process| |regulation of cellular component biogenesis| |regulation of catabolic process| |positive regulation of cellular component organization| |lipid metabolic process| |phosphorylation| |regulation of organelle organization| |ATP binding| |cell development| |regulation of intracellular signal transduction| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |BS-181 20μM R08 exp461|-1.98| |Daidzin 10μM R06 exp280|-1.83| |Phenformin 20μM R03 exp143|-1.82| |DABN 2μM R00 exp16|-1.8| |Taxol 0.004μM R03 exp103|1.81| |Vincristine 0.0005μM R04 exp190|1.81| |CoCl2 18μM R07 exp346|1.82| |VER-155008 3.9μM R06 exp301|1.97| |Colchicine 0.009μM R05 exp215|2.91| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 5917 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 5.4 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='PIP4K2A Expression in NALM6 Cells: 5.4'> </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
