Replication protein A is an essential factor for DNA double-strand break repair and cell cycle checkpoint activation. The encoded protein localizes to DNA repair foci and may be involved in the cellular DNA damage response. This protein may also play a role in inhibiting viral replication.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2010]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: As part of the alternative replication protein A complex, aRPA, binds single-stranded DNA and probably plays a role in DNA repair. Compared to the RPA2-containing, canonical RPA complex, may not support chromosomal DNA replication and cell cycle progression through S-phase. The aRPA may not promote efficient priming by DNA polymerase alpha but could support DNA polymerase delta synthesis in the presence of PCNA and replication factor C (RFC), the dual incision/excision reaction of nucleotide excision repair and RAD51-dependent strand exchange. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:19116208, ECO:0000269|PubMed:19942684, ECO:0000269|PubMed:19996105, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20545304}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |RPA C| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |DNA replication factor A complex| |DNA replication initiation| |nuclear DNA replication| |cell cycle DNA replication| |chromosome, telomeric region| |site of double-strand break| |double-strand break repair via homologous recombination| |recombinational repair| |single-stranded DNA binding| |nucleotide-excision repair| |G1/S transition of mitotic cell cycle| |DNA-dependent DNA replication| |cell cycle G1/S phase transition| |DNA damage checkpoint| |DNA integrity checkpoint| |double-strand break repair| |cell cycle checkpoint| |DNA replication| |DNA recombination| |mitotic cell cycle phase transition| |cell cycle phase transition| |DNA repair| |negative regulation of cell cycle| |mitotic cell cycle process| |mitotic cell cycle| |DNA metabolic process| |cellular response to DNA damage stimulus| |cell cycle process| |regulation of cell cycle| |cell cycle| |cellular response to stress| |cellular macromolecule biosynthetic process| |macromolecule biosynthetic process| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp432|YM155 0.001μM R08 exp432]]|-1.78| |[[:results:exp23|Nocodazole 0.02μM R00 exp23]]|1.9| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/694 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/26| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/30| |central nervous system|0/49| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/11| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/14| |kidney|0/18| |liver|0/19| |lung|0/72| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/25| |pancreas|0/22| |peripheral nervous system|0/15| |plasma cell|0/12| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/20| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/28| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 18989 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: -2.6 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='RPA4 Expression in NALM6 Cells: -2.6'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
