SNAREs localized on opposing membranes assemble to form a trans-SNARE complex, an extended, parallel four alpha-helical bundle that drives membrane fusion. STX17 is a SNARE of the autophagosome involved in autophagy through the direct control of autophagosome membrane fusion with the lysosome membrane (PubMed:23217709, PubMed:25686604). May also play a role in the early secretory pathway where it may maintain the architecture of the endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment/ERGIC and Golgi and/or regulate transport between the endoplasmic reticulum, the ERGIC and the Golgi (PubMed:21545355). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:21545355, ECO:0000269|PubMed:23217709, ECO:0000269|PubMed:25686604}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |SNARE| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment organization| |autophagosome membrane docking| |smooth endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |protein localization to phagophore assembly site| |mitochondria-associated endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |HOPS complex| |SNAP receptor activity| |autophagosome maturation| |autophagosome membrane| |COPII-coated ER to Golgi transport vesicle| |SNARE complex| |ER to Golgi transport vesicle membrane| |rough endoplasmic reticulum| |autophagosome assembly| |vesicle docking| |autophagosome organization| |SNARE binding| |autophagosome| |endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment membrane| |vesicle fusion| |endomembrane system| |endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment| |organelle membrane fusion| |protein phosphatase binding| |organelle fusion| |vacuole organization| |membrane fusion| |Golgi organization| |macroautophagy| |organelle localization by membrane tethering| |membrane docking| |endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi vesicle-mediated transport| |protein-containing complex disassembly| |process utilizing autophagic mechanism| |autophagy| |vesicle organization| |lysosomal membrane| |Golgi vesicle transport| |cellular component disassembly| |endomembrane system organization| |protein kinase binding| |organelle localization| |organelle assembly| |membrane organization| |endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |intracellular protein transport| |mitochondrion| |protein transport| |intracellular transport| |peptide transport| |amide transport| |cellular protein localization| |cellular macromolecule localization| |establishment of protein localization| |cellular catabolic process| |establishment of localization in cell| |nitrogen compound transport| |protein-containing complex subunit organization| |vesicle-mediated transport| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp155|UNC1999 2μM R03 exp155]]|1.92| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 17982 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 4.67 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='STX17 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 4.67'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
