These receptors recognize distinct pathogen-associated molecular patterns that are expressed on infectious agents. The protein encoded by this gene recognizes bacterial flagellin, the principal component of bacterial flagella and a virulence factor. The activation of this receptor mobilizes the nuclear factor NF-kappaB, which in turn activates a host of inflammatory-related target genes. Mutations in this gene have been associated with both resistance and susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus, and susceptibility to Legionnaire disease.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2009]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: N/A <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |LRR 4| |TIR| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |toll-like receptor 5 signaling pathway| |interleukin-1 receptor binding| |positive regulation of toll-like receptor signaling pathway| |MyD88-dependent toll-like receptor signaling pathway| |positive regulation of interleukin-8 production| |regulation of toll-like receptor signaling pathway| |regulation of interleukin-8 production| |cellular response to mechanical stimulus| |toll-like receptor signaling pathway| |pattern recognition receptor signaling pathway| |transmembrane signaling receptor activity| |regulation of cytokine secretion| |response to mechanical stimulus| |innate immune response-activating signal transduction| |activation of innate immune response| |cellular response to environmental stimulus| |cellular response to abiotic stimulus| |defense response to bacterium| |cellular response to external stimulus| |positive regulation of innate immune response| |positive regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |positive regulation of cytokine production| |regulation of innate immune response| |regulation of protein secretion| |positive regulation of defense response| |regulation of peptide secretion| |inflammatory response| |positive regulation of multi-organism process| |regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |immune response-activating signal transduction| |immune response-regulating signaling pathway| |positive regulation of response to external stimulus| |activation of immune response| |response to bacterium| |regulation of cytokine production| |regulation of protein transport| |regulation of peptide transport| |regulation of establishment of protein localization| |regulation of secretion by cell| |regulation of defense response| |innate immune response| |regulation of multi-organism process| |regulation of secretion| |positive regulation of immune response| |defense response to other organism| |regulation of protein localization| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |regulation of immune response| |positive regulation of immune system process| |response to abiotic stimulus| |response to other organism| |response to external biotic stimulus| |response to biotic stimulus| |defense response| |regulation of response to stress| |regulation of immune system process| |positive regulation of signal transduction| |positive regulation of multicellular organismal process| |positive regulation of cell communication| |positive regulation of signaling| |regulation of transport| |immune response| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='default' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> No hits were found. </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 16300 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: -0.64 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='TLR5 Expression in NALM6 Cells: -0.64'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2025/12/10 20:19by 127.0.0.1
