AMH and testosterone are produced in the testes by different cells and have different effects. Testosterone promotes the development of male genitalia while the binding of AMH to the encoded receptor prevents the development of the mullerian ducts into uterus and Fallopian tubes. Mutations in this gene are associated with persistent Mullerian duct syndrome type II. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Receptor for anti-Muellerian hormone. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Pkinase| |Pkinase Tyr| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |anti-Mullerian hormone signaling pathway| |anti-Mullerian hormone receptor activity| |Mullerian duct regression| |transforming growth factor beta receptor activity, type II| |anatomical structure regression| |hormone binding| |transforming growth factor beta-activated receptor activity| |growth factor binding| |SMAD binding| |female gonad development| |BMP signaling pathway| |development of primary female sexual characteristics| |transforming growth factor beta receptor signaling pathway| |cellular response to BMP stimulus| |response to BMP| |female sex differentiation| |male gonad development| |development of primary male sexual characteristics| |cellular response to transforming growth factor beta stimulus| |male sex differentiation| |response to transforming growth factor beta| |transmembrane receptor protein serine/threonine kinase signaling pathway| |receptor complex| |gonad development| |development of primary sexual characteristics| |sex differentiation| |reproductive structure development| |reproductive system development| |pattern specification process| |cellular response to growth factor stimulus| |response to growth factor| |developmental process involved in reproduction| |enzyme linked receptor protein signaling pathway| |protein phosphorylation| |cellular response to endogenous stimulus| |phosphorylation| |integral component of plasma membrane| |reproductive process| |reproduction| |response to endogenous stimulus| |ATP binding| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |SNS-032 15μM R08 exp443|-1.8| |Vinblastine 0.2μM R03 exp108|-1.71| |Fas-L 44ng/ml R08 exp482|1.92| |Epigallocatechin gallate 20μM R05 exp230|2.39| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 3393 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: -6.6 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='AMHR2 Expression in NALM6 Cells: -6.6'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
