Biliverdin is subsequently converted to bilirubin by biliverdin reductase. Under physiological conditions, the activity of heme oxygenase is highest in the spleen, where senescent erythrocytes are sequestrated and destroyed. Heme oxygenase 2 could be implicated in the production of carbon monoxide in brain where it could act as a neurotransmitter. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |Heme oxygenase| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |heme oxygenase (decyclizing) activity| |heme oxidation| |tetrapyrrole catabolic process| |pigment catabolic process| |porphyrin-containing compound catabolic process| |heme catabolic process| |heme metabolic process| |porphyrin-containing compound metabolic process| |tetrapyrrole metabolic process| |cofactor catabolic process| |cellular iron ion homeostasis| |pigment metabolic process| |iron ion homeostasis| |specific granule membrane| |cellular transition metal ion homeostasis| |transition metal ion homeostasis| |heme binding| |response to hypoxia| |response to decreased oxygen levels| |response to oxygen levels| |response to oxidative stress| |heterocycle catabolic process| |cellular nitrogen compound catabolic process| |cofactor metabolic process| |aromatic compound catabolic process| |organic cyclic compound catabolic process| |neutrophil degranulation| |neutrophil activation involved in immune response| |neutrophil mediated immunity| |neutrophil activation| |granulocyte activation| |leukocyte degranulation| |myeloid leukocyte mediated immunity| |myeloid cell activation involved in immune response| |cellular metal ion homeostasis| |myeloid leukocyte activation| |metal ion homeostasis| |leukocyte activation involved in immune response| |cell activation involved in immune response| |cellular cation homeostasis| |cellular ion homeostasis| |regulated exocytosis| |cation homeostasis| |inorganic ion homeostasis| |cellular chemical homeostasis| |leukocyte mediated immunity| |ion homeostasis| |exocytosis| |cellular homeostasis| |leukocyte activation| |endoplasmic reticulum membrane| |oxidation-reduction process| |secretion by cell| |export from cell| |organonitrogen compound catabolic process| |cell activation| |immune effector process| |chemical homeostasis| |secretion| |response to abiotic stimulus| |homeostatic process| |organic substance catabolic process| |cellular catabolic process| |immune response| |vesicle-mediated transport| |membrane| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |Pimelic-diphenylamide-106 5μM R00 exp28|-1.77| |Bisphenol S 100μM R08 exp458|1.7| |iCRT14 30μM R08 exp492|1.89| |Dynasore 7μM R08 exp436|2.18| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 14050 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 5.08 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='HMOX2 Expression in NALM6 Cells: 5.08'> </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
