This member is a meiosis-specific protein that is not involved in DNA mismatch correction, but is required for reciprocal recombination and proper segregation of homologous chromosomes at meiosis I. This protein and MSH5 form a heterodimer which binds uniquely to a Holliday Junction and its developmental progenitor, thus provoking ADP-ATP exchange, and stabilizing the interaction between parental chromosomes during meiosis double-stranded break repair. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Involved in meiotic recombination. Required for reciprocal recombination and proper segregation of homologous chromosomes at meiosis. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |MutS III| |MutS II| |MutS IV| |MutS V| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |recombination nodule| |mismatched DNA binding| |mismatch repair complex| |resolution of meiotic recombination intermediates| |meiotic chromosome separation| |synaptonemal complex| |nuclear chromosome| |chromosome separation| |mismatch repair| |DNA-dependent ATPase activity| |synapsis| |reciprocal meiotic recombination| |ovarian follicle development| |homologous recombination| |homologous chromosome segregation| |chromosome organization involved in meiotic cell cycle| |female gonad development| |meiotic chromosome segregation| |development of primary female sexual characteristics| |female sex differentiation| |meiosis I| |meiosis I cell cycle process| |female gamete generation| |meiotic nuclear division| |meiotic cell cycle process| |gonad development| |development of primary sexual characteristics| |nuclear chromosome segregation| |DNA recombination| |meiotic cell cycle| |sex differentiation| |chromosome segregation| |nuclear division| |organelle fission| |reproductive structure development| |reproductive system development| |DNA repair| |spermatogenesis| |male gamete generation| |developmental process involved in reproduction| |gamete generation| |DNA metabolic process| |cellular response to DNA damage stimulus| |multicellular organismal reproductive process| |sexual reproduction| |multicellular organism reproduction| |multi-organism reproductive process| |cell cycle process| |chromosome organization| |cell cycle| |reproductive process| |reproduction| |DNA binding| |ATP binding| |cellular response to stress| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp466|Cannabidiol 20μM R08 exp466]]|-1.71| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 12828 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: -0.87 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='MSH4 Expression in NALM6 Cells: -0.87'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
