This and RAET1G protein differ from other RAET1 proteins in that they have type I membrane-spanning sequences at their C termini rather than glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor sequences. This protein functions as a ligand for NKG2D receptor, which is expressed on the surface of several types of immune cells, and is involved in innate and adaptive immune responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]. * **<color #00a2e8>UniProt Summary</color>**: Binds and activates the KLRK1/NKG2D receptor, mediating natural killer cell cytotoxicity. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:15240696, ECO:0000269|PubMed:18544572}. <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='Pfam_Domains'>Pfam Domains</button> <button type='primary' size='sm' modal='GO_terms'>GO Terms</button> <modal id='Pfam_Domains' size='lg' title='Pfam Domains'> |MHC I| </modal> <modal id='GO_terms' size='lg' title='GO Terms'> |natural killer cell lectin-like receptor binding| |susceptibility to natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity| |T cell mediated cytotoxicity| |natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity| |natural killer cell mediated immunity| |positive regulation of natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity| |positive regulation of natural killer cell mediated immunity| |leukocyte mediated cytotoxicity| |T cell mediated immunity| |regulation of natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity| |regulation of natural killer cell mediated immunity| |positive regulation of leukocyte mediated cytotoxicity| |natural killer cell activation| |positive regulation of cell killing| |regulation of leukocyte mediated cytotoxicity| |cell killing| |regulation of cell killing| |positive regulation of lymphocyte mediated immunity| |positive regulation of leukocyte mediated immunity| |regulation of lymphocyte mediated immunity| |regulation of leukocyte mediated immunity| |positive regulation of immune effector process| |lymphocyte mediated immunity| |adaptive immune response based on somatic recombination of immune receptors built from immunoglobulin superfamily domains| |positive regulation of innate immune response| |positive regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |lymphocyte activation| |external side of plasma membrane| |regulation of innate immune response| |regulation of immune effector process| |positive regulation of defense response| |positive regulation of multi-organism process| |regulation of response to biotic stimulus| |positive regulation of response to external stimulus| |adaptive immune response| |regulation of defense response| |innate immune response| |leukocyte mediated immunity| |regulation of multi-organism process| |positive regulation of immune response| |leukocyte activation| |defense response to other organism| |cell activation| |immune effector process| |regulation of response to external stimulus| |regulation of immune response| |positive regulation of immune system process| |response to other organism| |response to external biotic stimulus| |response to biotic stimulus| |defense response| |regulation of response to stress| |extracellular space| |regulation of immune system process| |immune response| </modal> \\ === CRISPR Data === <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Compound_Hit'>Compound Hit</button> <button type='default' size='small' modal='Most_Correlated_Genes'>Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics</button> <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Essential_Avana'>Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)</button> <modal id='Compound_Hit' size='lg' title='Compound Hit'> ^Screen^Score^ |[[:results:exp47|Lapatinib 5μM R01 exp47]]|-1.73| |[[:results:exp31|Rifampicin 1μM R00 exp31]]|1.88| </modal> <modal id='Most_Correlated_Genes' size='lg' title='Most Correlated Genes in Chemogenomics'> No correlation found to any other genes in chemogenomics. </modal> <modal id='Essential_Avana' size='lg' title='Tissues where Essential in the Avana Dataset (DepMap 20Q1)'> Global Fraction of Cell Lines Where Essential: 0/739 ^Tissue^Fraction Of Cell Lines Where Essential^ |1290807.0|0/1| |909776.0|0/1| |bile duct|0/28| |blood|0/28| |bone|0/26| |breast|0/33| |central nervous system|0/56| |cervix|0/4| |colorectal|0/17| |esophagus|0/13| |fibroblast|0/1| |gastric|0/16| |kidney|0/21| |liver|0/20| |lung|0/75| |lymphocyte|0/16| |ovary|0/26| |pancreas|0/24| |peripheral nervous system|0/16| |plasma cell|0/15| |prostate|0/1| |skin|0/24| |soft tissue|0/9| |thyroid|0/2| |upper aerodigestive|0/22| |urinary tract|0/29| |uterus|0/5| </modal> == Essentiality in NALM6 == * **<color #00a2e8>Essentiality Rank</color>**: 13920 * **<color #00a2e8>Expression level (log2 read counts)</color>**: 1.28 <button type='primary' size='small' modal='Dist_expr'>Expression Distribution</button> <modal id='Dist_expr' size='lg' title='RAET1E Expression in NALM6 Cells: 1.28'> {{:chemogenomics:nalm6 dist.png?nolink |}} </modal> Last modified: 2026/01/07 22:36by 127.0.0.1
